High Arctic Expedition

Greenland & Baffin Bay

With a blue moon rising, we set sail into the unknown for a month-long expedition, from mid-August to mid-September 2023. Through some of the most remote regions of the globe, we left behind the warm summer days that normally grace so much of the northern hemisphere, in search of discovery, exploration and adventure.

The unforgiving nature of the High Arctic lay ahead; the ever-changing landscape, remote communities, and timeless stories of adventure from Franklin to Attenborough, a place where few have ever tread.

The wild and rugged terrain sculpted by glaciers over millions of years towered above us with such grandeur and grace, the ice packed sea, our highway through these lost giants. The open expanse freeing our minds as we headed farther and farther north. The sheer feeling of isolation and connection to nature was met with open arms and willing hearts.

However, we were not alone. The High Arctic is a land where polar bears, musk oxen and wolves roam free, and thousands of seabirds fill the sky whilst whales and seals police the depths of the icy waters. We were guests in their home, a privilege which should never be forgotten.

The Innuit people and communities of the High Arctic graciously opened their homes to us; with displays of hunting, games, sheer resilience, smiles, and laughter giving a sense of charm and warmth despite the cold and harsh nature of the landscape.

We made our own stories from the far north, stories that will last a lifetime.
